Amélie Lamont
AKQA / Washington, DC

amélie leads the user experience (UX) practice for the AKQA Portland studio. As a UX Director, amélie advocates for relational design and data-informed approaches that blend research, culture, and strategy to craft powerful stories. amélie believes that design, when used with care and purpose, can be a tool for building community, sharing knowledge, drawing unexpected connections, and engaging in liberation.
Prior to working at AKQA, amélie led and collaborated on design initiatives at companies such as The New York Times, Google, Facebook, Dell, World Vision, and Apple. In their spare time, amélie enjoys drawing, karaoke, Dungeons & Dragons, learning languages, roller skating, community-building, and diving into a good book (yes, all at the same time…shh, don’t think about it too hard…).
