Hi, I'm James, I live and work in London but I'm originally from Derbyshire. I have worked in the design industry for 7 years in various roles, be it solely UI design, product design, or more recently stepping into a role as Head of Design.
I'm really keen to help the younger versions of me, both make their own mistakes but also learn from mine. I previously worked for Deliveroo as one of the first product designers, where I mainly designed the mobile apps and worked on their subscription product. I have also worked across various platforms including tablets, smart TV's and Consoles. I am currently Head of Design for a FinTech startup called Freetrade. I think re:create is a fantastic initiative to mentor young creatives and help them reach their full potential. I have also previously taken on work experience students so would be great to also offer a potential hands on learning experience.
